What we do
Keeping kits and towels clean, free from shrinkage and readily available is crucial for gyms and sports clubs. Sending it out to be laundered can be costly and inconvenient, while washing and drying in domestic-build machines can produce inferior results and also prove expensive.
Many clubs are now opting for on-premise facilities ensuring that laundry is turned around quickly so there is always a fresh supply of towels and kit.
How we've helped
Client: Bolton Wanderers FC
Problem: Relying on an outside contractor, meaning kit was off the premises for over 24 hours.
Solution: “We were often chasing up the contractor while we tried to make ends meet with what clean kit we had left,” says Wanderers kit manager Russell Byrne-Fraser. “It could even limit what we were capable of doing in terms of training.
”After expanding the grounds, Bolton Wanderers decided to go ahead with plans for an on-premise laundry. “We looked around various laundry equipment suppliers, but only JLA explained everything to us in detail and promised a tailor-made facility to suit our specific requirements.”
JLA installed two washers fitted with the revolutionary OTEX system, and two S.A.F.E system dryers. “The laundry is absolutely superb, and a major advantage is the OTEX system. Another Premiership club recently had an outbreak of conjunctivitis which closed their training ground for several days – that couldn’t happen here thanks to OTEX. The system gives us complete peace of mind and JLA provide great value for money.”
